Really enjoyed our evening at Press*. Our server was lovely and attentive, and while there was a bit of a wait between our entrees and main, it wasn’t unreasonable. The small plates are delicious, highly recommend the choux bun. The steamed mussels were divine, I wanted to drink the broth it was so delicious! Mildly disappointed the creme brulee wasn’t in the menu as it was one of the reasons we booked there, so an updated website menu would help. The sauce on the hanger steak was very overpowering as well. Regardless, would dine again.

The food was really nice it was $52 for what they recommended (pasta and bread) the service was also nice, but it was probably a bit cold in there for me. The problem is the toilet experience, probably the worst I’ve had, when you walk out the side of the restaurant you’re hit with this unpleasant smell it looks disgusting and unclean as well, when you go into the bathroom it’s not as bad but definitely not up to the standard of the restaurant, on top of that the sink did not work… You left with your hands feeling far dirtier/more disgusting than when you came in.

Fantastic dining experience with an excellent wine menu (as one would expect in this part of the world). Although a bit slow at times, wait staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Food was very good. We did have a large table but the set menu was not explained very well and we had shared plates dropped with pork, but we had a lot of non-pork eaters due to religious views. They seemed inflexible with the vegetarian/pescatarian options for the other guests but they were able to provide what was needed…amazing wine menu.

Here for the weekend from Sydney and every time Adelaide really elevates itself with it’s foodie scene. Press was amazing. Such attentive friendly service, sublime food with an amazing wine menu and the atmosphere upstairs was eclectic but intimate. The prices are very reasonable. If you get the set menu, you really do get bang for your buck so pace yourself! Will definitely be back next time in Adelaide!

Service was a total let down, had a work lunch here for 12 people on their set menu. Unfortunately it was not as expected, we are also in hospitality industry and understand that these things can happen and days can be busy ect but it was not the case here on this day, we were the only people in there and ended up showing ourselves to our table.
