It’s probably our 5th visit to Porcine. And it won’t be the last! Quality ingredients, interesting twists on classic French dishes and nice service. Cherry on top, a nice beer list – Sydney restaurants please take note… Highlight today was the cassoulet

Escargot, onion soup and steak are probably some of the classic dishes you may expect from a French restaurant. However Porcine plays a total different game while still using traditional French cooking method. In some way I really enjoy this more than the usual. It was a tough decision to pick from the menu as many things seemed very attractive. Eventually the approach we took was to sample more smaller dishes while leaving the mains behind. Of course there was also a reserved spot for dessert!

Am a fan of Porcine! I know what the hype is about! Cute venue with thoughtful and playful touches. Menu might seem intimidating at first but team was quick to share more about the dishes. Lots of new dishes for me, expected the food to be heavy but it was delightful contrast of flavours and texture. Well planned dishes that seem to work well no matter what we chose.

It’s a lovely and cozy terrace house. Overall, the food is very worth the price. Unlike most French restaurants with ridiculous price, porcine is very reasonable.

The service was good however the food was terrible. Mushroom tasted hard and raw, pork belly was a disaster. I would rather go to get Cantonese barbecue.

Small, warm cosy classic old world French Bistro upstairs over wine shop. Very very tasty fresh seasonal ingredients beautifully prepared. Interesting wine list. Attentive knowledgeable staff make for a very relaxed experience.

Superb spot for a lazy Sunday lunch in Paddington. Service was warm and attentive. The food is incredibly rich, French cuisine. If the Duck special is available, I highly recommend ordering it. But the highlight is the Floating Dessert which is utterly sublime (and light), necessary after going through all the bread, oysters, entree and mains.

I had been really quite excited to visit Porcine but the experience was a let down. The positives – the terrine was delicious as were the deserts and the wine recommendations on point. Sadly the lobster mousse was a rubbery texture that was an unpleasant mouth feel and the turnip with taramasalata was the weirdest combination that did not work and again, was unpleasant. Both the salad and mixed leaves were swimming in way too much dressing and to cap it off,our fries and plate of pork came out barely luke warm.

This restaurant exceeded all expectations, leaving such a positive impression that I simply had to write a review! The service was outstanding, with Kate providing a thorough explanation of the menu that was an absolute delight. It was refreshing to have one person handle this instead of multiple individuals, which can often lead to conflicting information. Every dish we ordered was phenomenal, but the standout was undoubtedly last night’s special – the beef was truly a treat. I was especially impressed by the unique ingredients used in each dish that are hard to come by elsewhere, and the fact that the restaurant sources from local growers is a huge plus. As a local, I can’t believe I’ve never tried Porcine before. It’s truly a hidden gem that I’m thrilled to have discovered. Overall, an absolutely fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

The pork neck was so dry. It’s like jerky level kind of dry. What is going on? Service was good , but not best. I was expecting to try something different , something I never had before…. I left with disappointment and everything was overpriced. $3xx for 4 pp was a bit too much for the food we had. You have gota do better to stay in business. Taste your own food, or go to other restaurant see what other people are serving. Sorry.
