Friends and I chose Pig n Whistle as a mid point location from our workplaces. The atmosphere was good, everyone seemed to be in good spirits on a sunny Friday afternoon. The service was friendly – we interacted with two lovely ladies and a gentleman. The food was nice but took too long for our purpose. This place is recommended for a leisurely meal and/or drink, probably not when you’re on a time limit.

The self-service (ordering from the app) is way more efficient than queueing up at the counter. A great place to hang out with friends to watch sports, drinking and having fun. It’s crowded and loud on a Saturday night, so it’s unsuitable for children. Dessert – sticky date pudding was yummy. Rip eye fillet was delicious, but the barramundi dish was a bit of a letdown – the fish was overcooked. Good location. You can see the beautiful history bridge when you step out to Riverside.

Great food, good drinks, open atmosphere. Stop by if you don’t have another place to go but temper your expectations on costumer service, seems like not working for a tip means the wait staff doesn’t care about your experience. Too bad because hats off to the cooks, awesome food.

This place was noisy as hell on a Friday night (of course). We just wanted somewhere to eat after a day walking and shopping and expected average pub food. The food was outstanding, if a little pricier than we usually pay at a pub. Good pizza and the middle eastern salad was delicious.

Ah, no. I very rarely write a bad review but twice now we’ve had a bad experience. One table shared with friends and we put in two separate orders. Wait time shown 30 min. We were first in the dining room. Started chasing our meals at 50 minutes when diners who arrived and ordered after us had finished their meals, and left. Chased three times again and eventually one meal instead of two from each of our orders came out, and our entree. Two diners sat there waiting. Another 10 minutes and chased again, and another meal came out, leaving one diner without a meal. Chased again and went down to service area and explained what was happening. Total time chasing was 40 minutes (after waiting the original 50). Lovely lady asked chef if she could take a fish and chip meal for someone else and give to us(!?)

We visited the Pig ‘N’ Whistle for a going away lunch, in honour of a work colleague. The venue wasn’t very busy, but getting our drink and food order at the bar seemed to take a very long time. Additionally, our food order took almost 50 minutes to get to our table. I don’t know if it was because there weren’t enough staff on or if there was a problem in the kitchen. I would hate to see what it was like, if the venue was really busy. The atmosphere is good, with a nice English Pub feel to it and the food was good quality fare, again leaning towards the English pub style of menu. There are good range of beers on tap and different sports playing on TV around the area. Overall, an OK place to have a bite to eat and some drinks with friends.

Amazing place! Not only is the food surprisingly yummy, the venue super comfy, but also is the staff simply amazing. We came here to watch a Bundesliga soccer game, not too popular in Australia. And the staff did everything to make sure the game was shown on time. And not just for our team but for all fan groups around, which turned out to be quite a challenging scheduling exercise. Thank you so much, looking forward to next time.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant!! Waiter couldn’t understand basic requests and refused to get help so food was incorrect and had to be resent/ordered. Then it wasn’t taken off the bill which caused further issues. Also took over 40 minutes in a very quiet period. Food itself Bread and chip items so overcooked it was pretty much inedible. Also way too much oil used. Seafood Chowder was nice. Place for some reason decided to turn the lights off as it got darker so you couldn’t see.
