Right on the main square this is perhaps the perfect location to grab a drink. The staff are friendly and good at remembering drink orders, which helps to make you feel very welcome. There’s plenty of seating undercover as well as loads of large tables stretching out onto the square, with some umbrellas if you want the shade. It’s a great place to relax with a drink and people watch, plus the pleasant atmosphere means I’ll certainly be returning.

Came here after a broncos game and the atmosphere was great! The bar service was amazing, despite the drinks being slightly pricey… but understandable in such a great location. Despite the busy rush of customers, the staff were so quick with our drink and food orders

Good pub in the centre of the city with plenty of scale to host big crowds and numbers, especially helpful for big events nights as a good pub for getting large numbers together. Beer specials were appreciated with Stone and Wood pints on special and making the afternoon quite affordable.

So we thought we would go here for a group of 5 lunch. We ordered at the table through the phone app function. Mistake! We all ordered separately around the same time. Meals came out with mass time apart because at the same time other tables are ordering (wasn’t busy mind you!). But the kitchen obviously can’t put the dockets together so people can eat together so we had someone waiting 15 more minutes for the same meal as someone else that was ordered within 30 seconds of each other…. Not a great way to have lunch. Especially when other’s food was going cold as we politely waited for the others to arrive…. we gave up on that politeness to be able to enjoy warm food. One group member ordered nachos and paid $6 to add beef. It was basically a garnish and a massive disappointment of quantity. I didn’t really appreciate the burnt spinach garnish on the arancini balls. All in all we spent time commenting on the poor quality of service and quality of food. Won’t return. Good location though…. that’s all its got going from my POV. I felt bad that I recommended it….

To the two reviews below, look, I was there at the time sitting next to you guy’s table, and I don’t know the full story, but I clearly heard the poor manager and the staff were trying to organise food for you guys, he even approached my table to apologise for our food delay due to the kitchen having to remake the food you claimed to not have received, when someone in your table already ate said food. You guys were being loud and affecting even my party. As regulars of pig n whistle, I know that the managers on duty always try to make everyone’s experience great. There was even an aggressive Karen lady who was being rude to him and his floor staff. Just because they are immigrants, doesn’t mean we should act and treat them differently – when we are having fun, they are the people looking after us and we should respect that. I will continue being a regular to this venue.
