First time trying Hanoi (Northern) style pho and liked it very much. The broth is less sweet than Southern-style, more savoury, and they also like to load it up with herbs. I had the pho tai lan in which the beef is seared in a hot wok with garlic before being added to the bowl – it added another dimension to the dish and was very nice indeed.

Second time I’ve come here in 3 days! The beef brisket pho is rich, authentic, big, and super affordable. Got chatting with one of the chefs and found out his parents started the restaurant 20 years ago. Comfort food in a comfortable relaxed, and unassuming restaurant. Welcoming and quick service.
