Under new ownership, this business has entered a new chapter of Italian cuisine. The restaurant has a new level floor with carpet and fresh paint, furnishings, comfy chairs and open design across the bar straight into the kitchen. Whilst they do not have a children’s menu my 7 year old found they were flexible with the menu to accommodate his need for vegetarian gnocci with no spice followed by the chocolate brownie and hazelnut gelato (as they have a minimum 2 courses).

Perfect dinner for our last night at Pokolbin. Food was just amazing (and good portion sizes) especially the ….…… well all the dishes were faultless but we especially loved the Zucchini flowers, Caprese, Gnocchi, Barramundi, Meatballs, Pork, Semifreddo, Rhubard, Brownie, Tiramisu ……..in other words most of the menu haha!!

Stayed at the Hermitage Lodge and went to the Pescara Restaurant because it was so conveniently close :). Had one of the best Italian styled dinners we’ve ever had, and that’s saying something coming from veterans of traveling in Italy. Food was cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Desserts were also good, though it’s difficult to quite match the best Milan style tiramisus 🙂

I would rate Pescara 4.5/5. Fantastic food (just needed a bit more seasoning on some dishes), lovely staff who were willing to assist and lovely atmosphere. While it was quiet on our night I would 100% recommend dining at Pescara while in the Hunter Valley.
