We dined here on a Tuesday night in April as a group of 4. After standing at the doorway for quite some time and having several staff ignore us, we found a vacant 4-seat table and sat down – we already had a reservation and were on time, plus it was the only table available. At some stage someone came over and told us the table was reserved, and when we provided our reservation name we were told we would be seated inside when the table was vacated and cleared, but as it was very noisy inside and we would have had to wait longer, we declined in favour of the outside table.

Food was fresh & bugs just melted in my mouth. Was also happy it was BYO on Tuesday & Wednesday. Friendly staff as well as soft comfortable seats with cushions. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The service was impeccable, everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and professional. I wish the food was a little bit better and after I saw pictures of other people here I feel that my seafood chowder was underseafooded:))) I know it’s not a word, but you know what I mean – watery and not much seafood. I ordered an octopus first and it was very hard to chew, and very acidic, almost acrid. But the presentation was 5 stars! And they exchanged it without any problems. Kilpatrick oysters, Moreton bay bug rolls were beautiful, seafood chowder was ok. I would go there again to try other dishes and experience that high end service I don’t really see on the Gold Coast.

I’ve only tried the takeaway menu and it has been wonderful. The Chowder is a nice size, it’s creamy with just enough fish, they also give you bread. It always smells lovely.

This place is such a great experience. I always bring staff meetings, parties and birthdays to this venue as they cater professionally with the best food to match. The management here do a far better job than the main restaurant with atmosphere, staff accountability and delivery of service. Highly recommended.
