We attended for a father’s day lunch. And ordered from the all you can eat menu, we ordered but only half the food came out. Than had to order again. We where a group of ten so this made for very segmented eating. Food was great overall. Our first waiter was very rude and couldn’t stop rolling his eyes ( Just a tip if you don’t want to be a waiter stay home I didn’t pay over $400 to deal with your attitude )

I’m a little obsessed by AYCE Japanese at the moment and Okami delivers a tasty selection of sushi, nigiri, sashimi and a whole range of hot dishes to keep it interesting. Loved their sashimi platter, prawn gyozas, karaage and the teriyaki beef (although this could have been served a little hotter). The tempura was also tasty but a batter a little thick. Skip the chicken shumai wontons and I also didn’t rate their stir fried rice (although others in the group seemed to enjoy). They offer BYO wine with corkage of $10 a bottle which is always a bonus.

My family and I went to Okami for the first time and the food was surprisingly good. I had booked online and even though they had no record of my booking they were still able to seat us straight away. Unfortunately the service was very slow, the waiters were not very friendly and there were problems with their ordering system as most of the dishes we ordered never arrived or we would order 3 serves for a group of 8 people and they would only bring only 1 plate (a single potato croquette to be divided by 8!!). The food was nice but I would not go back due to the poor service. I think we spent more time waiting for our food than eating it!!

I was pretty disappointed by Okami. We had a 5pm booking (eating with kids) so we we’re waiting at the front until they opened their doors. When the staff came to open up he looked us in eyes, turned the closed sign to open and walked off. I wasn’t expecting more but it started the night on the wrong foot. Why wouldn’t he open the door and welcome us or invite us in?

After reading a few good and bad comments, we’d like to venture to give it a try on my birthday. Dishes are delivered fast and neat, food are fresh and delicious. Service was not bad as like other comments mentioned, or I should say they have tried hard already with just 3 waiters serving all the tables including taking orders and serving tables. The only thing has taken out the one star would be the tuna. Think it should put a sticker to mention about wht the tuna is not included in the assorted sushi dish.
