First thing is the quality and serving size of the fish and chips for 1 was fantastic for how cheap it was. I walked away really satisfied, little alone the freshness and great tasting chips were 10/10. Pineapple fritter slapped and was served properly. Staff were friendly and the shop seemed clean. 100% would return.

Been a while since we had fish n chips on the Town Green. First of all it’s not a town green anymore. It’s the town car park! City ruined that. Now the fish, no King Dory? Take it off the menu. Second, the Hoki battered was soggy. How can this happen out of a hot deep fryer?

What a waste of time. We ordered 1 portion of fish cocktails and chips. It was not crazy busy. It took just on an hour to get the food. The portion size was a joke with not many chips, for $15.80.

Yes the wait was long. It was roughly 45 minutes wait from when we ordered till we got it. HOWEVER, it was worth the wait! It’s amazing that the prices here are cheaper than the competitive landscape of Sydney Fish and chips.

This place gets busy and with these prices I know why! We shared a hoki and small fries with a tub of tartare for a snack, and boy was the takeout heavy. Fish was very fresh and the chips are not oily. Nice to eat on the benches outside or for taking away to a beach or your accom they pierce the paper so the chips don’t get soggy, there is some baking paper under the fish, so the paper doesn’t soak through.

DON’T BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY HERE!!! One star here is way too many for this review as it needs to be a minus 5. I’ve never seen fish cocktails with hardly any fish in them before this place, nor have I seen potato scallops with hardly any potato in the them. What a total “RIP OFF” and not only was there hardly any fish or potato in the batter, the food was also way, way overcooked and not far off being burnt altogether!!! I do not understand how the new Indian owner can get away with serving this garbage food and clearly should be sticking to Indian cuisine. This food was so awful, I only took two bites out of it and threw it all in the bin where it belongs. I then went around to Mike’s Seafood and the food there was above average and one of the best places I’ve ever bought cooked seafood. Shame on you for taking unsuspecting people’s money and not giving people what they asked for. The fish cocktails and potato scallops look like they’d been run over by a car they were so thin with nothing in them – this is absolutely unacceptable and I will never go back!!!
