Wish i read the reviews before spending money and time going there. Waited almost half n hr for our order,got to the car thinking it was very small for what we ordered. Check the bag, no chips. Walked back in simply said theres no chips in here. Another staff member walked out, pushed the hot food into my chest, and said i was rude for going back to say i had only received half my order. What a disgraceful establishment, owners should be ashamed of the staff they have working for them.

Ordered plain salt on my chips (w/burger $21). Received chips covered in chicken salt. Politely asked if I could get my chips without chicken salt. Disgruntled staff member soon returned with fresh, plain salted chips. However, reused the original container, littered with chicken salt. Tomato sauce for said chips was $2.40!

Brought chips calamari, seafood sticks and crumbed whiting from Ocean Bites last night and I was very impressed. I have lived in Tweed/Banora for over 40 years & I know when seafood is fresh & reasonably priced. Ocean Bites has the freshest and most reasonably priced seafood. It was delicious. I will definitely be going back again soon.

This place has definitely improved, initially was just ok but have been coming back more regularly now as the standard is definitely higher, I’m the only non seafood eater in the family and they have a great variety of non fishy meals on offer, good burgers and roast rolls, chips used to be pretty ordinary but are now good. The family have all been really happy with the freshness of the seafood and the service has been fantastic, I now feel confident to recommend as your friendly neighbourhood fish and chip joint!

Food was good but terrible service. Husband went in to order at 6:40pm ($130 worth) and had the response “you know we close at 7:30pm”. Staff didn’t pack the drinks that were paid for and when given the bags, slammed the door behind him. Because of the service, we won’t be back and won’t be recommending.

Went for lunch today, Great coffee and happy smiley’s from staff had the sea food salad was delicious and the prawns I bought were the tastiest morsels, best I’ve had in a long while I know where I will be getting my Christmas seafood yum!

Have been going to this place since it opened and was very good. Lately the food has been terrible. Always get crumbed snapper but no way that’s what they gave me. More like mullet. Will not be going back any more. Time yo go back to scales
