We were a group of 15 firefighters doing fuel reduction burns in Rutherglen. We were booked for meals at the Old Empire Hotel for three nights. We found the meals to be delicious and the staff were outstanding. Thank you Brett for your hospitality.

Went here on a Friday night we have been going to go here for yonks. It was busy busier than I expected not sure what i expected. Staff very busy and friendly earning their keep. There are a lot of little rooms noisy and everyone having a good time. Food was tasty and not to long a wait as how busy it was. We will be back. Well worth checking out. Maybe on a night so busy day so we can look around a bit more

Beautiful steak, ordered with onion rings, calamari , mushroom sauce + lovely selection of fresh veg yummo! So full. Was very busy Easter Monday and meal and service was perfect. Fantastic selection of local wines to match, had the Durif as recommended by owner. Also Guinness on tap a big ++! Nice relaxed atmosphere, sat inside as was a cold evening, outdoor area is nice too though, covered and heated. Will be back for the sausage and mash

Filling meals cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients and homemade sauces. The outdoor area was really nice and we loved the lights. We appreciated the paper and coloured markers for the kids! We will definitely be back.

Delicious food – Thai beef salad was excellent, the veggies with the cutlets were just cooked (to perfection), schnitties were real breast meat, the salads were fresh and delicious… very impressive pub meal, thanks!
