Looking at the review I should’ve not tried it. Probably the slowest service ever, it’s malatang, should’ve been fast and easy. Food is probably in room temp as it doesn’t look cold at all. And half of the stuff I put in in my bowl wasn’t even on my soup!

I read all the negative feedback and the latest positive one. I was kinda empathetic to the positive as I have been to other locations. So I decided to try this one myself. What I found out – shocking beyond belief. I think the big boss should really come and look into all the negative comments. For my experience today: like one of the other comments said, half of our food was removed, two pieces of bamboo shoots, bean custard rolls gone. I mean, really? I don’t mind paying full price but I also expect all what I paid for. This is my first laughable experience I had with Malatang. If you need me to buy you food, maybe you can ask? Don’t steal mine because I just want to enjoy it I’ll keep telling everyone in the area to stay away from this shop.

I unfortunately have 2 issues with this venue. First, I had a conversation prior to purchase if there were any options with zero chilli, silly I know but my partner is highly allergic. I was assured by the staff the option we wanted to purchase was chilly free. Upon first mouthful, we find chilli, I talk to the staff and the best they offer is a take away bowl. I pack the meal and we are now walking around trying to find somewhere else to eat.

Hidden away directly in front of Coles in Penrith Plaza. An amazing food experience awaits. Make your own malatang. Very easy to go overboard with selections as everything is so delicious.

Quite terrible. The food Is in the open and you let customer use the same tongs on the meat and fish and vegetables. The soup base I had was ox bone. It was like I was eating a live animal. The vegetables and the meat tasted disgusting.
