Very dirty and run down dining area. Tables where dirty and black marks on some of them. Was hesitant to lean on the tables let alone eat on them. One of the managers seemed to be cleaning but obviously needs to happen more often. Food well its Macca’s nothing to write home about.

As a regular traveller on the Hume Highway anywhere between Sydney & Melbourne we often find ourselves stopping at fast food outlets. I expect that they’re not going to be spotless due to how busy they are but I do expect courtesy and professionalism from the staff. I try to avoid McDonalds Gundagai as I’ve always found them to be a problem but last night I was tired and needed to stop. The staff, as always, were busy chatting and laughing very loudly – it honestly feels like the customers are their last concern.

Ordered 1Latte 1tea paid. Left with nothing. The Manager/Owner was trying to do 3/4 jobs by himself . Could have put a sign up saying coffee/food will be about 10-20-30 minute wait. I would not have ordered and saved myself $10. Not impressed. Wanted to give NO ⭐️ but won’t allow me to do it. Take the Dole from the Gundagai Bludgers until he fills all positions. 8.10am Sunday 16 July Order number 25.

We stopped at this Macca’s last night (Sat 29/04/23), less than an hour before their closing time. Everything was nice and clean, including the toilet (like, the cleanest fast-food public toilet I’ve been to). It was a good timing.

my father and i stopped at gundagai maccas for a quick meal and were sitting in the drive thru for about 5 minutes until we drove around the corner due to being sick of waiting realising no one was there at the first few windows , we started thinking they’ve been shot up and held hostage against their will. My dad drives around the next corner coming to the pick up window and seeing 3 little staff including the manager sitting there and huddled around a machine, the manager noticed us but still didn’t accomodate us until 2 minutes later. One thing that ticked me off is that they don’t have a frappe machine? What’s the point of advertising a drink if u don’t hold it at the store, however dad said it was the best chocolate shake he’s had in a while. If there’s one thing i’ve learned from fast food is that it isn’t fast but it isn’t good either.

McDonald’s is in South Gundagai, you turn left from Hume Hwy to Mount St. And start to your left. You coming from Albury go left up the ramp to the bridge right turn to Cross Street, go the around about and right again to McDonald’s.

Mostly have used the drive through here and eaten in on a few occasions. Quick and accurate through the drive through. My order has always been correct and as expected quality wise. The toilets in here are average and could be maintained so much better. Easy to access off the highway and have always been able to get a car park. Cheeseburger meal was excellent. Coke no sugar was a little tasteless but ok.

Looks it’s maccas. Can’t really go wrong. Drive past and head to one of the pubs or I recommend Ettamogah pub. Now given the amount of traffic that comes through it gets super busy. And often someone hasn’t flushed the giant kraken down the toilet. So the bathrooms are pretty shocking.
