Went there for lunch and ordered a steamed pork & prawn dumplings, deep fried oysters, stir fry king prawns with vegetables and vanilla ice cream. The dumplings were yummy and the oysters were good too. But the prawns were small and definitely not so called “king prawns”. The decorations are quite old and needs renovation. Overall the food is good.

Service was good, the place has an old feel to it but not necessarily in a bad way. The good it self was ok. Not fantastic but not terrible just meh. Price is average for a Chinese restaurant. Parking was on the street out the front if you can get one or around the corner but not too far.

I’m surprised by any earlier comments on a good service. It was simply not. We tried in vain to feel welcomed there. The worst is the Indian waitress who tried to ignore us for unknown reason.

DON‘T EAT HERE!!! The food is just disgusting. I had the Duck in lemon sauce and it tasted like someone cooked a Lift Softdrink and poured it over the duck. My girlfriend had the chicken chow mein and the noodles weren‘t even cooked properly.. she could have lost a tooth..

We tried the Yum Cha. Staff are lovely very polite and helpful. Decor is very ornate. Food was great but I found that by the time the staff stroll round offering diners their choices it’s not very hot and to be frank that’s a pet hate of mine. Would I go back …yes as the food is very tasty just not hot enough

The environment was nice and the setting of the restaurant was very cosy, they clearly went through some thoughts in decorating. Price was OK for the location but dishes were still a bit smaller than what I expected. Can’t complain as I’ve had lot worst from other Chinese restaurants in the Gold Coast. Their Mandarin Pancake definitely worth a try for dessert. Personal favourite.

Has been maybe 18 years since we had been here, went back last Saturday and was a bit of a flash back, has not really changed and is still one of the best tasting with a great range of yum cha and still priced competitively.
