Typical and traditional Cantonese restaurants, where you get 100% authentic tasty Cantonese food but 50% service. The food was always consistent, hot, and tasty and you can’t resist anything from the menu. But don’t expect too much from service. Most likely they will check your dishes quite often and rush to clean your plates, which is a hint that you should pay the bills and go! However, you still want to go as they cook favorable dishes. So I accept that they deserve arrogance.

We came here for yum cha. The dim sum dishes here were pretty ordinary. Rice rolls were a bit mushy. Roast pork buns didn’t have enough filling and the bun wasn’t light and fluffy. The other standard dishes like beef meat balls and prawn dumplings were ok. A big tick though for the deep fried taro dumpling puffs. The crispy bits on the outside were exceptionally fluffy and crispy. All in all nothing was too bad and I suppose this place can scratch the itch when you’re craving yum cha but can’t travel far or don’t want to pay too much.

Yum cha spot with the usual fare. Full house on weekends so book ahead and arrive early, the parking can fill up quickly and you’ll be left with an awkward spot. Can be on the expensive side here as it seems most things we order are in the ‘supreme’ category. As many reviews indicate, service could be improved but it’s passable to warrant return visits.

Top knotch yumcha at a decent price point, and lesser-known old school Cantonese yumcha dishes such as the Thousand Layer Sponge Cake (here with alternating layers of salted egg). I haven’t found this anywhere else in Melbourne!

I use to go to this place often. Recently the quality has gone down a little bit. Still a decent place to eat some Chinese food.

The food was fresh and tasty with lots of options. While the decor might be a bit outdated, the authentic flavor of the dishes more than makes up for it.

Very authentic Cantonese morning tea. You are allowed to bring your own tea here, and ribs and chicken feet are recommended.

Amazing selection from what I’m told by the people we were with very authentic the food just kept coming and coming full stop service was Great. Might need to book in advance as we arrived at 11 a.m. on Sunday and there was a huge queue outside yes we did have a booking. Didn’t have to wait long for the cost to carts to around, that is normally a pretty hate. Staff were very attentive and happy to assist with anything we needed, we will be back.

A good place for some decent Chinese food but for the price you pay I would have expected better.
