I decided to dine in with my family friends on my birthday evening. We ordered a few options from their menu. The seafood Tom Yum soup was yum. The pineapple fried rice was great too. The food was authentic and mouth watering.

We tried the menus under ‘Ling Ling Thai Special’ and ‘Thai Street Food’ over 2 consecutive days. Our favourites were the Pineapple fried rice and Pad Kra Praow Gai. Love their awesome plating and the variety of options. Definitely going to go back to try other dishes!

Came here for the first time since Veldt. Very disappointed with the food, flavour wasn’t there, quite small portions, $49 platter (pictured) was very average. You only get 2 prawns, bit of salad which we didn’t touch. Calamari in it average. Fish was bony and overcooked. Looked nothing like the image in the menu. $18 creme brulee not glazed/caramelised at all. In terms of service, the first lady said she’ll be looking after us – no problems there. We got interrupted 2 more times by different people asking if we’d ordered yet. I asked to hang onto the drinks menu, another person came past and just took it. $$$ you are paying for the Veldt (previous restaurant) setting/decor. We’ve tried ling ling thai once and won’t be going back. 3 person dinner incl drinks cost well over $200. Indian Restobar is much better value and always hits the spot.

What a treat to be able to dine in such a lovely restaurant on my visit to Dubbo. The warm and friendly service, and the food was wonderful. I had the massaman beef dish and coconut water. It was so delicious. Highly recommend and will be returning again on my next visit to town

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Incredible menu and really friendly staff. Our favourite dishes were the Thai spicy noodle soup, fish cakes and green Thai curry with coconut rice. Will definitely be back on our next trip through Dubbo!

Ling Ling Thai has been open 11 days as of this review – and while there are a couple new-restaurant teething problems, it’s got a LOT of promise. Most of the issues we had were easily chalked up to the fact that they were incredibly short-staffed, and also very, very new to the game – the owner, his daughter, and a single chef in the back were manning the restaurant during a busy evening service. We were there for a birthday party, and there were 8 of us – most of the other tables in the place were also full, and everyone was flat out trying to manage drink orders, food orders, etc.

Our group of ladies went out on 15/6 Thursday night. We all enjoyed our beautiful meals. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Very friend and polite. Everyone commented on how delicious the nails were. I can’t wait to go back for my next meal.
