Latitude 12 at the Walkabout never fails to impress. Tonight I had the Tapas, 3 plates for $37.50 and a schooner of the house Lager. I went the Prawns, Squid and Mushroom. All were very nice. The dining environment was very pleasant with some quiet tunes in the background and the staff were amazing with a keen focus on service. A great experience, Thank you, I’ll be back!

While the service was adequate. The Food was not. My wife ordered Lamb Rump which required the services of an experienced chainsaw operator to cut. Gristle and fat remained attached to the offering with the whole thing surrounded by some over cooked parsnips. I ordered the special of the day which was called a Seafood Risotto. Whatever flavour was in the clams, squid and prawns had been removed by the addition of a bottle of Woollies finest lemon juice. To make matters worse there was not a proper wine glass to be had. Tumblers/brandy snifters are NOT wine glasses no matter what name you try to give them. In a hot climate stems are essential to keep the contents cool while drinking. This place is consistently hopeless. Worse meals have been reported, but not by reliable sources.

Absolutely beautiful. Not what you would expect in such a remote place. The scenery and the weather giving the feeling of a tropical paradise. Whirring fans over head in the out door dining area sitting pool side add to the tropical ambience. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Every monthful a taste sensation. Cocktails a must. The Latitude motel on hand if you want to extend the experience. A very very pocket friendly and family friendly restaurant. ☆☆☆☆☆
