Competently-cooked dishes suitable for a relaxed, sit-down meal. City prices. Open fire in winter. On the main road through the town of Euroa at the north end of town, a short detour off the freeway travelling northbound. Service usually friendly but can be a little chaotic and slow if busy. There are no menus on tables nor visible anywhere; you have to wait for a waitress to bring them, then wait for a waitress to come back to take the order, not the fastest system. Good relaxing food, but perhaps not if you have a deadline to meet. Have eaten here several times, and food has always been good.

Great location, first of all, as one heading towards Sydney from Melbourne can easily divert themselves towards Euroa before continuing on the same road out again. That’s exactly what we did.

Arrived on a long weekend eve and was Hungry with my daughter in tow. Not sure what was on the menu or available for takeaway, so we headed inside. Greeted by friendly staff we decided to eat-in and have the Parma. Well, it was so yum and took barely minutes to be served up. It was a great find in a lovely and friendly town. Definitely worth a stop for a meal.

Jumping Jumbuck hasn’t changed in as long as I have known it. Which is longer than I’d like to admit. The perfect stop between Albury Wodonga and Melbourne. Despite the aging decor, the food is fresh and tasty. I was delighted by the home made sour cream and lemon muffin, truly excellent. I was also delighted by the scones with jam and cream. The scone was decent – better than most cafes do, and the cream was thick, generous and freshly whipped.
