Casual, vibrant vibes and very flavoursome Mexican food. I highly recommend the cauliflower “hot wings”- definitely did not expect such a huge platter (could be a main honestly) and it’s so tender and juicy still inside. The fajitas were also delicious, love the combo with peppers and building it all yourself.

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. Place is pretty loud – with the music and ppl chatter. Food was not too bad, big serving for my beef quesadilla! Lots of slow cooked beef but flavour wise was mediocre, can only see and taste beef, also slightly on the drier side. The chipotle mayo that comes on the side for it was pretty good 🙂

I went on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn’t busy, but soon after most tables were taken. There was only one waiter looking after all the groups. I noticed however when another waiter arrived at the restaurant and promptly started helping him – I’m not a fussy person, but I wish I had seem him at least sanitizing his hands with alcohol before grabbing a couple dishes and serving to a family. I mean, he just got to the restaurant and went straight to work. It’s pretty unhygienic. One extra minute that would take him to wash his hands, or at least rub some alcohol wouldn’t make much difference at that point.

The restaurant has a nice decoration it is also a cozy place. Service is good and the staffs are friendly. I had a beef quesadilla which was very good and I also ordered a delicious prawn taco. Although the food took a while, everything was delicious and the jug of beer was a great price.

Best part was the staff! Everyone was friendly and greeted you with a smile. The service was great, always asking if my food was good or if I’d like something else. For some reason, those simple things are a lot harder to come by these days. The food was pretty good, much better than a chain. The winner for me was the Choc Tre Leche cake. The cake itself had a similar texture to the sponge in a tiramisu, with cream on top and a delicious orange chocolate ganache.

Taco Tuesday at La Carbra has never been better. We ordered the fish, pork belly, prawn and pulled beef. They were delishhhh. The sauce was a perfect addition to the taco flavoring. $5 tacos, what more could you want??!

As a chilli addict I was happy to see the variety of Melbourne hot sauces provided with my meal. Spicy Sanchez hot sauce with amazing Mexican food, beer on tap and great service. Perfect. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you.
