This is not going to sound credible, I am aware, but trust me when I say that the best thing about my personal experience at Karen’s Diner in Perth is all about the service. I would definitely come back for the service, weird right? But not for the food. Food is absolutely less than average. Worth a visit just for the experience but do not expect a good food. Terrible service and horrible staff, I understand that the whole point of this restaurant is to have bad service, but I would call this threatening, abusive behaviour, borderline aggressive and bullying. I witnessed the male waiter call a women a zoo animal and asked her partner how he could ever have kids with her (they had their two daughters with them). This to me isn’t bad service this is verbal abuse. A “Karen” is defined as “a middle-aged women perceived as entitled or demanding”, the staff who are meant to be supposed Karen’s were nothing but verbally abusive and severely aggressive. I believe the staff need to be reminder of their roles and the rules of the establishment, if they can’t treat their customers with some decency then why should the staff expect the same? If they can dish it out and be horrible then they should be able to take it but no the staff get highly defensive. Don’t bother ever going to this gross, rude and appalling establishment.

All a bit “meh” to be honest and underwhelming. I guess being from Perth we are hardened and used to bad service so maybe that’s why we all thought the so called abuse and humour was way below what we expected. Maybe because of the report last week about the working standards but it seemed that the “actors” were very lacklustre in their performances. Food was a bit better than we thought but we didn’t expect much. Would I recommend….nope. Had far better theatre dining experiences. The fee for using a debit card and fact they don’t take cash was quite frankly farcical.

10/10 amazing. If you want an entertaining meal with a side of cheeky giggle definitely recommend. The food was delicious and the cocktails are to die for!! The karen who served me and my boyfriend is 100% the best employee. ‘Brittney B*tch’ was her name, and she has the perfect amount of karenness without being too over the top and scary. Don’t get me wrong she will roast you and it will be funny 🙂 definitely going back just to give her a cash tip!!
