Quality certainly not on par as previous owners and the japanese welcome and farewell greetings are no longer present. Seems like the business changed hands the past year or so. Even with the side dishes in the bento and food presentation was an insight that restaurant was no longer the same for the decades I’ve been here since uni.

A great little place in the heart of the city. Hidden away in an arcade this place has super friendly staff and the food is delicious and well priced. We took 3 kids and they really enjoyed the food and were well looked after. The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant and the range of dishes is good.

Can’t justify the price for their deluxe sashimi and sushi platter. The price is $78 but it only had salmon and scallop(not even tuna??) no variety at all. You can get a much better quality platter somewhere else and cheaper too. (Give them 2 star because we booked through EatClub and got 30% off, otherwise would have rated 1 star)

Went in there at 230..missed the lunch rush…but the owner was cleaning up, but the owner said no problems, and I had the bento teriyaki special with miso…delicious with a Kirin Ichiban. Authentic Japanese and friendly service. The spring roll, tempura no salmon were very good. Will be back again.

Reasonably priced cosy little eatery, tucked away inside the mid-city arcade and with pleasant timely service. Ordered sushi bento, which was pretty good, but wasabi was not offered and brought only upon request. Whatever they provide as wasabi is definitely not it. There was no kick to it, and I suspect that this could be some kind of horse radish. To me, that was the only major letdown.

Happened to be here last week, small place by the mid city arcade complex. Ordered in for a chicken katsu bento and taste was decent, service was quite good too, but few it’s slightly expensive considering the $22 price tag. Salad potion in bento also didn’t taste quite that fresh, nevertheless it was a decent place for a quick japanese eat.

This place is a bit of an institution and has been around for as long as I can remember. The quality has been consistently good over the years so today I brought another three friends. We placed our orders and settled back in anticipation.
