On our visit to Jamaica Blue, everyone seemed to be feeling exactly that – blue. Nobody was happy, there were no smiles, no laughter and no outward signs of general happiness. The lady at the table adjacent to us sighed heavily half a dozen times in as many minutes. I hope she’s okay.

We stopped into the cafe outside of Kmart Grand Central. Just wanted a coffee and share a Sandwich. We got 1 small flat white, 1 small cappuccino on Lactose Milk and 1 Ham, Cheese & Tomato Toasted with green leaves. No tomatoes on it, a relish on it . To my shock the cost $24.80 . We questioned the cost of the sandwich, and she said i know it’s expensive but it’s a good sandwich. Mm

Sunday breakfast with the kids. In this post COVID world they are running a reduced menu with no kids options on it. Don’t be afraid to ask for kids meals I have always found them to be happy to accommodate any requests. The staff were friendly and chatty here today. In a good way. Brock who was taking orders at the counter was great.

Located in an extremely busy spot in Grand Central, just in from the escalators, so lots of people traffic and huge amounts of noise. Because it’s such a busy spot, it’s not “relaxing” to have a coffee there, however we had a clean table & chairs, was served promptly by the cashier and because of the busyness and also being Saturday morning there was a “wait” before the coffees were brought over to our table. We all ordered mugs – I and my sister both had Skinny Lattes and my mum a Capuccino. Coffee was nice & hot which is sadly lacking in a lot of coffee places, and tasted great.

Girl at counter was so young and inexperienced, seeming to need more training. Got my order wrong and didn’t realise until my plate was brought out. Zucchini fritters were flat, dry and tasted like cardboard. Wasn’t a great experience – I won’t be back nor would I recommend to friends.

Called in for a coffee at 7.58, asked politely are you open, No was the reply. Should the assistant have said, sorry we open at 8.00am, but please take a seat and I will be with you shortly. JB, civility costs nothing. Putting inexperience at the front desk, doesn’t promote your business!!!!! ( went across to Coffee Club, very friendly staff.)
