Amazing experience!! Service was next level! Cannot believe how well put together the whole team is. Amazing to watch you guys work! Floor staff didn’t miss a beat! Sake was delicious, food was amazing, loved the whole ambience of the place. Certainly the modern version of fine dining. And we LOVED it!

A friend treated me to dinner here. Hidden away, I never would have found it, which makes it so exciting. I was like, where are we going?! The atmosphere was perfect, and the service was beyond amazing. We got the person in charge to choose our meals for the night, and every one of them are something I wouldn’t have chosen personally by reading what it’s called, but after tasting them I was blown away. I hate mushrooms, the first thing I had was some mushroom dish, and it was my favourite. It was the best damn thing I’ve ever had. Everything I ate that night was amazing.

I visited this place after seeing a review in the age, specifically the mention of amazing fried chicken wings. The wings were great but everything else was a real eye opener, a new take on traditional Japanese cuisine. The eggplant salad looks nothing like a salad when it’s served, but it’s an adventure in taste and texture. The aforementioned chicken wings were great, the fry job was excellent but they lacked a bit of flavour. The highlights were the carrot tempura and the incredible and surprising icecream Sando for desert. Definitely worth a visit for someone looking for great and slightly different Japanese food.

This was a really nice dining experience. The small pieces of food were full of flavour and filling. We got the $65 set menu and they were able to cater to some dietary needs. I think that while the food is amazing, I am not sure the service and atmosphere meet the price point. But we left feeling full and happy.

Consistently unique, delicious and first class, Izakaya Den never disappoints. We treated our Sydney guests with the set menu dinner and they were also impressed. We’ll be back as soon as possible

Izakaya Den just provided one of the most memorable culinary experiences of my life. From the cool underground setting, to the artisan skill of the chefs, and the myriad of flavours included in the set menu, I was left both spellbound and speechless for the duration of the meal. The beef brisket melts in your mouth in a way that makes you rethink the very definition of the cliché. Thank you Miyuki, your hospitality and passion for food is intoxicating.
