Walked in on a Friday evening was seated at a table out on the deck and watched the sun set over the bay.

One of my favourites restaurants in Melbourne, delicious Japanese food with high quality ingredients. The dishes are perfectly cooked, prepared and balanced.

Momo is dry and tasteless. California roll, beef tataki, ebi mayo is flat and overpriced. Won’t be here anymore.

Deliciously fresh food and amazing cocktails and sake. Location is fantastic on the Esplanade in St Kilda. Great variety of food to share just as a couple or with larger groups. Kingfish sashimi, Edamame, E-bikes Mayo and Gyoza are always a favourite. I reckon a pretty good sign when there are other very well known chef’s eating there as a guest. Looking forward to coming back soon

I have walked past this place plenty of times, always sort of been put off by the price, I mean, it is a high end Japanese Izakaya, but I was having a good week so I thought ‘why not.’

Vibrant and busy on a Thursday night we were lucky to get an unreserved table. We shared quite a few plates between 4 people, and we left having been well-fed. The staff brought the dishes in a sensible order giving you enough time to enjoy each course. It is on the pricey side, but definitely delicious. Kurtis at the front desk welcomed us with a warm greeting and waiting staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant evening; although the place was buzzing, we did not have to shout to hear each other. I’d recommend this venue to anyone with a taste for good food in a cozy atmosphere.

Good Japanese food if want a premium experience. The platters are good for about 5 or 6 to try. They are pretty filling too. Plenty variety of Sake and delicious cocktails.

We were a party of four and ordered a range of different dishes including skewers, sashimi, tobiko, unagi and a selection of starters. The quality of the fish was definitely the highlight, the remainder all good though the price point is a little high for the quality of other dishes. That said, the staff was very friendly and Bridget in particular is truly a five star team member and made the meal much more enjoyable. We were just a little unlucky to end up at a table where there was barely enough light to see the menu let alone to appreciate the colourful dishes (phone flash did the hard graft here) for the sake of mood, but overall atmosphere was fine. Recommended!
