Talk about amazing decor!!! The food did take slightly longish to arrive but definitely still at an acceptable timeframe. I would say more expensive than other Thai restaurants but you’re in the city so again very acceptable. The food was super yummy and very filling. Service was attentive and efficient.

I recently dined at The Holy Basil in Darling Square, and I must say, the restaurant left a lasting impression on me. The standout aspect of my experience was the impeccable customer service. Despite the bustling Saturday evening crowd, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and efficiently managed the long queue. Within 15 minutes, we were already seated at a table, which was commendable.

Holy Basil is a popular Thai restaurant in Sydney that has been around for a while. Their newer location is a nice “upgrade” from the old club. The atmosphere was lively and busy, and staff were quite friendly. The food was alright but nothing special. The stir-fried pork belly was too rubbery and had too strong of pork smell. Otherwise I would recommend going in the warmer months and sitting outside, since not all areas heated in winter.

Came here for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night, and it was busy! Do recommend booking in advance.

Amazing place, amazing Thai food and amazing atmosphere. You can order anything from the menu as they all hits your taste bud just right. Also visited their branch in Parramatta and the taste is consistent in both location. Highly recommended whichever location is convenient.

We decided to dine here after a show at the ICC. The interior and decor looked amazing so we checked it out. We wanted a booth which we were able to get.

Didn’t realise Holy Basil had moved from the Shark Hotel to Darling Square, so it was quite the surprise to come across this as a lunch option.

Disappointed with the experience. The pad thai was standard. Other dishes are edible but not good. We were sitting outside and felt very uncomfortable with the cold and people randomly passing by and stopping right next to us while eating. The bill came out expensive for what we had. Just not recommend.

Such a lovely restaurant with beach resort feel to it. Dishes were spectacular and service was warm. Didn’t get to take photos of the other dishes cos we got stuck right into it. Definitely on to add to your list.

A very good option for Thai food in the city. Great for groups or small groups (perfect for 4-7 people). There is a good selection of dishes on the menu, along with several spicy hot options. And everyone can share. I love the duck red curry and the fried ice cream is pretty famous. The staff are friendly and it has a nice décor too.
