just landed at Maroochydore airport and stopped at marcoola shopping strip. the holeinthewall is just off the mobil/7eleven carpark. ordered chips and a fish burger.. happy to say the fishburger was the best I ever had (from a small sample) – fish was fresh and tasted good, as was the salad and even had fried onions! value 11 out of 10. the owner was busy but friendly and courteous. YES!!

Fantastic little shop with very yummy food. Prices are more than reasonable, even the small chips is a very generous serving for what you pay and they’re crispy and fluffy. Burgers are fantastic.

Tried this place for the first time last week. Was pleasantly surprised with all the food. Fish was a great size & nicely battered , Potato scallops where yum and not over battered & the minimum $3.50 chips i thought wouldn’t be enough but there was a very healthy amount. Was also impressed with the staff , the young guy on the counter was flat out taking phone orders & people at the counter but handled himself great & very polite. The team in the kitchen where all busy doing there jobs well. We all enjoyed the food and will be returning this week for sure. Thanks for giving us some local great fish & chips!!

Stayed across the road at the hotel and wanted to eat somewhere different last night so we tried this little gem. When we got there they were already busy with phone orders. It looked like Mum and Dad were on the grills and bother and sister were helping on the counter. There was a wait for the meals which was understandable considering the orders already coming in by phone. We ordered two works burgers and minimum chips. There was a slight error with our order as one burger was forgotten but they noticed and apologised in time and offered us a drink while we waited. When we got the burger I couldn’t have been happier. It was literally one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time. You could tel the patties were hand made and not processed and they tasted amazing. Next time I’m up the coast from Brisbane I know where I want to eat.
