The atmosphere was good, the bar guy was good, the tap local beer was great, and we had a good night with friends. The food was very average. We ordered the roast special. My beef brisket was not very tender. Unfortunately, “Average” is my rating for the main meal I had. The bread and butter pudding was very nice but not too dry. I’d expect bread to be more soggy in custard.

Organised a surprise party for my Dad’s 50th and had a wonderful time. Dee was easy to talk to and very helpful with figuring out the menu for everyone. The food was excellent.

Lovely atmosphere and great/friendly bar staff! Drinks were yummy but vegan options were sparse. Having a pizza without cheese was rather dull unfortunately, I hope in the future there are better options as I love this little place!

We usually order take away meals but have dined in once. Really average and was disappointed.

I went to Hendricks on Saturday night with a large group, and ordered the Hawaiian Pizza, unfortunately, it tasted as if an Alien who had just landed on earth had made it. Thin yet still doughey base, Aldi Homebrand cheese, weird tomato paste base that was somehow worse than a frozen pizzas base, large areas of the pizza where there was no ham to be found, chunks of onion that a child would have cut, and uncooked, straight from the tin pineapple chunks leaking the pineapple juice over everything. This combined for the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Despite this Pizza I was considered lucky on my table because my food arrived 40 mins before most other people’s. The only saving grace of this place was the friendly waiter and waitress we had that were very professional regarding refunds of the pizzas.

Was here for work function, so had shared menu. This place has industrial feel, wasn’t busy on Saturday night so it’s a good place to sit and chat. They didn’t really have mocktail, but they can just make a syrup of flavour you want with soda water. It was a big glass but for $12 it was rather expensive. Pizzas were ok, I like their simple garlic and cheese one. The dough wasnt thin but also not really thick, I don’t mind it. But they need stronger tasting toppings I think, the vegetarian one with pumpkin and onion was too bland. Chips were so-so, although it came out really hot. We also had this fried haloumi, which was nice but texture is slightly chewy. Pork belly cubes was cooked perfectly, tender meat and crispy skin, I am impressed that they do it so beautifully. Fried chicken was boneless, but beautiful crunch on the outside. I think the sauce they put for the haloumi, pork belly and fried chicken is either same sauce or very similar, all sweet with some hoisin and ginger. They are nice but when you have 3 dishes in a row that has similar taste, you do want something different. But overall good foods! Will come back again.

Not a bad spot. Night life is suitable for the 20’s to 30’s. I found it was a nice meal ( Scotch fillet ) and had the Lemon meringue pie. I didn’t like that the music was too loud for conversion and the price was a little steep however it was an enjoyable evening and i found the staff easy going and polite. There’s even a quiet room with an acoustic guitar for the guest the play and plenty of parking across the road close to train station and public transport.

Not a filter needed to describe how good the pizzas are here! Our group had 3 of them, and have a look at the pics! This place is the obvious and best destination if you’re ever in Lilydale. Don’t let the school chairs inside deceive you. Everythings fresh and the food was an experience with farm to table quality unrivalled anywhere. Yum.

Honestly one of the best restaurant/bars ive been to. The owner/manager is just the most loveliest person ever, to say the least. I go to Hendriks often because I continue to have the best experience there, from the first time i went. The food is absolutely AMAZING every time. Staff are so polite and look after me whenever i need something. The place is clean, toilets clean, they have great live music all the time. I would give hendriks 10 stars if it let me haha. I will continue to return here as a regular, im yet to find any fault at this restaurant, look forward to dining in again soon 🙂 thanks to the staff and management for always providing the most perfect experience with dinner and live music (and drinks) 😀
