I used to love Hakata Gensuke. I have lined up in the rain to get in. I loved it so much I have my favourite order saved in my notes app as I don’t get to Melbourne often and each time I would always overestimate my desired heat level.

Always decent ramen from Hakata Gensuke. This one at QV does chicken ramen as opposed to pork ramen. The Russell Street outlet had a long queue so instead I headed to QV where there’s rarely any waiting time. Saying that, service is a little more casual and amateur than Russell Street but the ramen is always tasty. $22.50 with an egg on a blustery and cold winters day.
