Seriously this is the one one of worst gyg in the town. They can not even make the basic order right. I Ordered the veggie nachos and paid extra to have more black bean and pico de gallo. Leave alone the extra stuff they did not even bother to put the standard amount and not enough sauteed veggies, no chopped red onion and neither the picked jalapeno which i ordered. It was just completely dry chips for $19 it’s a joke and guess what there was no cutlery and no napkins in the bag. But you dont worry i’ll donate you a box. Thanks for wasting my 20min in drive thru for this rubbish.

It’s hard to give a bad review because I rarely have a bad experience here! However, I ordered a Cali Burrito and Large Queso fries, Burrito was on point and no complaints there! But!!!! The fries…..you have to see it to believe it…(picture attached) there’s no fries!! It’s literally just the sauces and chopped tomatoes I mean, is it a joke or? Cause seriously, serving that to someone, surely they would have asked hey, shouldn’t there be chips in here? But nope, straight up sauce! Very disappointing obviously, didn’t bother going back to get a refund, because this honestly seems deliberate for whatever reason.

Service was quick but food was terrible. I ordered a regular burrito bowl. Portion size was less than that of a mini bowl and hardly any chips or tomato/meat/beans. Mostly rice. Ingredients tasted bland. I have had GYG many times elsewhere but none compare to the blandness and disappointment of portion size than this GYG restuarant. Waste of money.

The food is usually always great, although the portion size varies massively from each visit. Sometimes a regular is like a mini, and vice versa (more often than not, the serving seems smaller than it should be). This shop also has a propensity to overfill burritos with rice, and underfill the rest of the fillings, which is just plain insulting given the exorbitant prices (which just keep going up and up by the way, decreasing the value proposition with each month or two). With regards to service, there are one or two servers which always do a great job without fail, though I can find some staff to be abrasive which does affect the atmosphere. Furthermore, the 4 total times that I have ordered for pickup via the app, my order had not even begun being prepared by my set pickup time. I also had to ask multiple times about my order before they even started cooking it on two of these occasions. The app (which is supposed to save time), has always left me waiting for 30-40 minutes, which is simply unacceptable given that people ordering at the counter are coming and going, even with most having more lucrative orders. The many times I have eaten-in at this establishment, the music is usually for to loud to have comfortable conversation, the heaters are often on our doors in temperatures far too warm already. However I will say that for the most part, the staff are able to keep the tables rather clean, which is rare in fast food these days. Overall I have to give a two stars to what was once my favourite fast food establishment due to a notable decrease in quality and experience, and an unbelievable increase in price that is just not justifiable for the quality of the food. And to be clear I don’t entirely blame the staff. From what I have witnessed, the management at this store do not deserve to be in their position whatsoever, and foster a negative and toxic culture and relationship with their staff. They are rude to the staff and it honestly makes my blood boil that these people are the leaders that are supposed to be bringing out the best in the team. The business should choose more capable, more worthy management because I just feel so sorry to see workers treated with such lack of respect.

I came here Tuesday 29/08/2023 after deciding to give Mexican cuisine a try for the first time in my life. I was originally greeted by an extremely kind and friendly young man with ginger hair, I had so many questions but he made my concerns heard and was very patient and helpful. In the end I had a delicious meal that has sparked a love inside me for Mexican food.

I don’t think I have ever gotten exactly what I’ve ordered from here before. If they don’t completely forget to give you half the order, they’re always out of stuff in between the speaker in drive thru and by the time you get to the window. Clearly they have some stock control issues, and really slack/poorly trained staff. They’re always friendly though, hence the extra star.

Every time I’ve had fast food lately (especially in Queensland) it’s been either slow, wrong, tasted terrible or the staff have been rude. Imagine my surprise when I received what I ordered, quickly and served by friendly staff. It even tasted quite good. Thank you for giving me some hope that the Queensland hospitality industry isn’t dead.

I have had several experiences at other GyG stores and they have always been good. Originally when I ordered at GyG North Ipswich the service was not great, the store was very busy and our original server was not very good and wasn’t familiar iwth the menu. Our original order came out wrong and it was hard to get help from some of the staff, but that was quickly rectified by Sanaya.
