The Gardens Tearooms is the cafe located within the beautiful Rockhampton Botanical Gardens and Zoo. We serve Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee and Ice-cream in a predominantly outdoor setting. Indoor seating is available though. There is no need to book as there is plenty of seating in the Botanical Gardens. We offer a large range of Catering Platters and Gourmet Salads, packaged ready for a picnic in the park or work and home events. There is also a Souvenir Shop which stocks the largest range of Rockhampton Zoo, Rockhampton and Australian Souveniers in Rockhampton.

Had the cafe do catering for a small event at the gardens. The sweet and savoury baked goods were nice but the small sandwiches were stale and the drinks were a letdown.

Lovely place but the food is ordinary. Paid 12$ for overcooked eggs on a piece of bread. Shame. However others in cafe had really nice food and where enjoying it.

Had the bacon breakfast served to me and to be honest, I was not impressed at all with it. The bacon was partially cooked and the fried egg was rock hard. It’s not hard to cook bacon and fry an egg. Get with it ladies!! Very disappointed!
