Tucked away in Ash Street, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled into the backstreets of Paris. Every detail of Felix Bistro and Bar has been considered – from the imported French chandeliers, to Parisian subway tiles and beautiful pewter bar. Our intoxicating ambiance is matched by attentive service and classic French fare, delivered with precision.
Head chef Nathan Johnson has created a produce-driven menu of honest, simple food; think chicken liver pâté, gruyère soufflé and steak frites. The seafood bar is a sight to behold- piled with prawns, oysters, lobsters and Moreton Bay bugs. And the wine list, crafted by Franck Moreau, Merivale’s master sommelier, perfectly complements the menu.

Fine French dining, with a beautiful Parisian ambience. Hidden behind Angel Place, this is a gem, only known to those who know. And yet it’s always full, which means there is a lot of repeat business. If you are looking for a classy business lunch, or a romantic special date, Felix should be on your list. The menu offers great seafood, oysters, steak and a wonderful win list. It’s a pricey destination, but worth it. The service is superb.

Stunning place with beautiful bar. Server were attentive and polite. Followed the reviews here and ordered the gnocchi and the creme brulee. Was very very good. The tartare was delicious and mixed tableside to your preferences.

Felix is a must for any lovers of French fare. I took a couple of girlfriends from Brisbane here on a Saturday night and despite how busy it was, the service and food was top tier. We over ordered as we usually do, our waiter was so lovely and attentive. Quality food, Quality service. A memorable experience and up there with my top 5 fav restaurants in Sydney.

We’ve ordered oyster, Wagyu sirloin and wagyu tenderloin, crème brûlée, soufflé and red wine. Medium Wagyu sirloin and tenderloin with simple ingredients are both excellent, probably the best steak in our Australia trip. The service is excellent as well. Foie gras on top of steak recommended is very creamy. Highly recommend Felix.
