Eastern Door has definitely gone down hill in the last year. So bland. I usually order loads so we can have leftovers, but I didn’t even enjoy the first bite and had to add spices to make it palatable for the next night. Pick up your game guys, you are in a unique spot where you can make a killing!

Wow, this was literally THE worst Chinese I have ever eaten! We ordered Mongolian beef, bbq pork in plum sauce and sweet and sour vegetables. Pretty basic Chinese food. All the sauces were watery and flavourless. How you can ruin sweet and sour vegetables is beyond me, but it happened! The pork was absolutely disgusting, I could barely manage a mouthful, the meat was tough, the vegetables had been tainted by the disgusting meat and the sauce was grey. The Mongolian beef was ok, the meat was ok, the sauce was watery and flavourless. Honestly, save your money or spend it elsewhere, I would rather have cooked my own food I was so disappointed. It also took an hour to get our order! I’ve never known food to be ruined so horrifically within the course of an hour.

One day, in the future, when we can sit and dine in a restaurant that looks fabulous, you will thank me for this. I was lured in by the extensive menu on display. I spoke to the lady at counter who showed me seat. I ate. When I went to pay what should have cost $39 cost $49 – because I sat down! Beware!

Food here is nice but very pricey. $24 for a honey chicken and $5 for a diet coke! Better off going to the Chinese restaurant at Tweed Heads – much more reasonably priced.
