For its price point, the quality of food was ok. Definately fresh vege. The noodles and rice lacked seasoning/flavour. The portion sizes were generous. The dishes were well presented and the owner was delightful. The restaurant is huge! There were many diners and a number of take out dishes, so very popular in Gawler.

Great little restaurant. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Food was delicious really enjoyed the seshwan beef. Free prawn crackers always seal the deal. Thank you Gawler palace will be returning in the future. Great addition to a town with very little take away options.

Always a lovely place to dine with family. We’ve been coming for 15years. From when our son used to cry for nuggets and we would feed him honey Chicken and just tell him it was nuggets to now him picking the items.

Went to dinner here for the first night and it was the most disappointing experience. The staff members at the front desk were lovely, however there was a particular lady who we believe was the manager who had a terrible attitude. I asked for 3 dim sims, to which the staff member who took my order thought this was 3 servings (which equaled up to 9 dim sims). Once I confronted the staff member she was polite and took the dim sims back, whereas the other lady (the manager) came back and was very short and rude to us once we apologised about the mis-communication. When the manager came back to ask us how the mains were, my partner acknowledged that the vegetables were still hard and not cooked. The manager just nodded her head, said “ok” and then just left??

We came here based on a recommendation from Spirit Magazine, the magazine distributed on QantasLink flights. It’s so nice to see a traditional Chinese restaurant that hasn’t conformed to the pressures of modernity, and has instead opted to keep with tradition. Even more amazing was the food, which was absolutely terrific! I’ll definitely be back for more!
