The food is never consistent with good quality. One day you go there and food is good and another day it can be very poor. Until they know how to make a good pizza I suggest you stop using shop purchased pizza bases and adding very cheap full of preservatives toppings. The pizza is inedible. Chicken schnitzels are pretty good but a bigger serving of a side sauce is needed. It can get very loud in this facility and if that’s not for you I suggest going before 6:30pm. Staff are friendly which is always good. Dining tables can certainly do with a good clean with a bit of elbow grease. Nice little outdoor dining area away from the hustle and bustle. This place is very hit and Miss.

Unfortunately, 2 stars is my honest review of the Coolalinga Tavern. $10+ for a Ginger Beer on tap was just the beginning of my disappointment. My MR Scotch fillet was of low quality, it was tough and tasteless. When being charged an additional $3.00 ontop of the $40.00 steak you’d expect to receive an actual side serve, not a tiny ramekin which at half empty would’ve held no more than 3 table spoons of gravy. There is nothing wrong with charging for extras, or for having higher prices on certain cuts of meat, so long as you deliver top quality products and decent sizes.

Welcoming committee was a bit disappointing. Staff just standing around talking and not paying attention to customers. Would have been nice to be shown the ordering procedure. However, the food was great, and the servie after we ordered was good. Black beer is the best.

Didn’t expect a lot from a small tavern but was excited when the food came out. Very good quality dishes and the southern fried chicken was tender and fresh. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through. Pork belly salad was also 5 stars.

Have been coming here since it opened and food usually great. Not this time sorry to say, the Asian beef special was dry and bland. Sausage and mash, small thin sausages and where were the butter peas as only served mash. Disappointed

It’s a little annoying how there’s no payout machine for the pokies or there’s no easy access to brake up your money. You have to go to the bar where the bar staff are currently already busy. Sort out a machine with all of the money you already make from the patrons! Everyone complains about it it is ridiculous and it’s pure greed. I definitely won’t be back unfortunately and I’ve been coming here since it’s opened. It’s also inconsiderate for your bar staff too. They have enough to do.
