My recent dining experience at China Bar was great. What stood out the most was the efficient and quick service. From the moment I entered we advised the owner that we had to leave for the airport shortly, the staff ensured that I was promptly seated and attended to.

This place has zero idea about customer service, the 2 women at the front were so rude, and they had been scream (chatting) to each other during my time there, the place already noisy enough. Food is really common. Seriously, you can easily find a better place in Chinatown. I won’t be back for sure.

To me customer service is really important, that’s why this place lost a few stars. The food is delicious and served quite fast but the service is not very friendly. Also communication is not good either. When I paid cash I got charged 10% additional, when I enquired she pointed at a sign high up on a pole, 10% surcharge after 10 pm and weekends and public holiday. Didn’t even bother to explain this to me. Just pointing. I personally won’t return as there are other and more friendly places around. I enjoyed the laksa I ordered though.

Food in the city after 10pm is pretty much limited to Maccas or Chinatown.

The food is ok (nothing special) However the customer service is TERRIBLE. Most of the waitresses are rude and unfriendly. In this place you are treated as if you were asking for a favor.

Great BBQ. Love the dry noodles and salted fish and fried rice. My go to in the city if I don’t have long. Service is curt and efficient. If your a little precious and expect staff to fawn over you it’s probably not for you. Having been to Asia more than a few times I find it an authentic experience.

This used to be the place to go for the best, affordable Chinese food. Unfortunately it is less so these days. The service is poor and the prices are ridiculous. $9.30 for 4 pieces of chicken feet.. Seriously! What a rip off, and to top it off, they were not fresh and seemed like they had been reheated a few times because they were gluey and chewy. I’m so disappointed and will never return!

Service below average, food way below average. I didn’t realise steamed rice comes swimming in soy sauce! Can’t believe one of us was still eating and they were trying to clean up and drag plates over her.

This is the kind of place you’d get food from if you are uninspired and couldn’t decide on a descent option.
