Great local, food is top notch. Staff can be extremely rude at times though. My wife was chastised over the phone trying to confirm an order that the store had stuffed up. Telling someone “I don’t care, just order” isn’t the best approach. Particularly when we both work in hospitality and go out of our way to be polite as customers.

Went in today and ordered a chicken and a jumbo chips. Chicken was tasty and juicy. Chips were too thin. You’ve got to have 13ml straight cut chips with chicken. The 10ml chips they serve become too hard once fried.

I would typically leave a 5 star review as I’ve been going here regularly for over 4 years and the food is usually fantastic but there is a certain individual there that seems to be spoiling a great chicken shop with her poor customer relations and ungrateful attitude, which makes me not want to return. If I get the same unsatisfactory service again unfortunately I won’t be returning. Reading previous review looks as though I’m not the only one who has noticed. Lovely local takeaway shop. Fresh and clean. They also have an online app to order through. We’ve been a number of times, and the chips and gravy is fantastic. Highly recommend going for the chicken options, the beef/ kebabs we haven’t enjoyed as much as their chicken dishes.

Came here for lunch for the first time and was pleasantly impressed with everything. The shop is clean and tidy, yet had that authentic SA chicken shop feel. The service was casual, friendly and easy going. Of course, and the most important, the food was really good and good servings sizes. Looking forward to going back.

Very nice chicken and chips. They do coated chicken which I think is better than the colonel’s. Old school pinball machine to play while you wait. Definately worth giving them a go.
