We were looking for a casual, fun meal whilst staying in Ettalong and Chica Chica didn’t disappoint! Friendly waitstaff, great Mexican / South American food and a fantastic selection of margaritas on a busy for a Friday night in winter. Our waiter John was great in explaining the menu, including how many small and large plates to share, and we weren’t hurried in making choices about what to eat next after our entrees. Chilli mango margarita, patatas and the guacamole were standouts but couldn’t fault the food, venue, service and staff. Will be back to Ettalong and back to Chica Chica.

This restaurant is endowed with old South American charm, enthusiasm & noteworthy flavours. No small feet for a regional venue. Wonderful cuisine with premium ingredients. We were incredibly lucky to have the best seat in the house – on the balcony picking up some lovely coastal breeze.

This place offers a wide range of food and drinks. There food was ok and the drinks were great. It is a great venue to host a large or small group of people. I think the menu has enough choices for vegetarian and non-alcoholic people to enjoy as well which is a very positive highlight for a cocktail bar. The location is not far from bus station so if you want to drink, you can take buses here and probably taxi or uber home because some bus routes stop mid afternoon.

So where else in the country can you go on a Wednesday night and get a plate of $5 tacos, $9 margaritas and the best tequila chicken wings? This place is superb. Despite a packed house service was exceptional, food delivery prompt and of a brilliant quality. Definitely going back and don’t care if it’s not $5 taco night!

Bottomless brunch attended with a large group. Service was excellent. They were very accommodating to everyone’s dietary needs. Food was delicious. So much fun with a buzzing atmosphere. Margaritas and drinks were flowing and perfect amount of food portions. Got best of both worlds in this bottomless brunch.
