We found the food to suitable in size and flavour, expect zoo food tourist pricing. The venue was clean and had ample seating available at lunch time on a weekend.

Attended with a child with special needs. We were with several other people and children and ordered breakfast for all. We requested plain white bread with butter for the child (in amongst all the other orders, which included white toast with butter). Our request was refused on the grounds that they were too busy. There were 6 people working there, hardly any customers, and i am baffled as to how buttering a slice of bread whilst making several other breakfasts could cause any problem at all in the kitchen. We did not request the item for free either. The worst part was the smug young woman that refused our request continued to grin at me rudely whilst i tried to reason with her. The establishment should be embarrassed by her childish behaviour. My party were all horrified by the way she behaved. Had we not already ordered and paid for orders of people with us we would have left.

Simple but nice and reasonable price. Staff are pretty friendly as well.

My wife and I had a wonderful high tea by the lake. We watched the animals as we ate some really delicious sandwiches, scones and baked goods. The best part was the passionfruit cheesecake bites and the Mediterranean sandwiches.

We saw that they served a high tea and booked for that to coincide with a visit to Dubbo. We weren’t really expecting anything amazing as high teas are not their primary offering. We were blown away with what we got. The sandwiches, egg mayonnaise and chicken mayonnaise with avo, were lovely and were totally fresh. The scones and little cakes were also supremely fresh and very tasty. It was definitely value for money. I would do this next time I visit Dubbo.

A great place to go for breakfast if you are in Dubbo, you can go here even if you are not paying to go to the zoo and you can even see lemurs and spider monkeys from the cafe.

Had a really good lentil burger and watched the lemurs and the spider monkeys having their lunchtime feed. Great that when you are passing through and dont have time to do the whole zoo that it is still possible to stop at the cafe and see a few animals.
