Would highly recommend this restaurant as the food, service and atmosphere where amazing. I loved that they let us bring our fur baby. We started with the generous liver pate which even Buddy loved then the 250g steak with mushroom sauce and duck fat potatoes which was so filling and thankfully we shared. I would defiantly return even though it took us over 1 hour to get here. The grounds are well taken care of and beautiful and they even have accommodation that looks amazing

To start off on a positive note, the food we ordered was pretty tasty. The condiments section was pretty cool.

Fantastic food, great service, immaculate decor, this place is incredible. I would highly recommend it. The shared meat plates and all the sides are wonderful. The caramelised garlic bread is insane, definitely try it (quite filling though). There are beautiful outdoor areas, some with heating, a big indoor restaurant space, and an area off to the side by the bar with a lovely fireplace to keep warm.

Briars Inn was very nice! The establishment is very fresh but classic rooms to feel cosy. We dined in the Bong Bong room and there was a fireplace which was nice. Make sure you book as they didn’t seem too pleased that we didn’t. Would recommend any of the steaks, mushroom sauce is amazing & don’t leave without trying their duck fat potatoes & potato bake — amazing. I will say that the Italian style garlic bread was a bit strong & the confit garlic was an acquired taste; order at your own risk. Would visit again though & loved the extra atmosphere as the Matilda’s were playing for third place and fans were keen!

Lovely place to visit. We had a private room for our lunch as there were 12 of us and it was nice and cosy. The food was delicious and quick serving considering it was pretty busy. For the size of the place only one side of the bar was used to serve which resulted in a line up. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend

Amazing, had my birthday lunch here. The pies were enormous, the porchetta huge and the steak perfectly cooked. No room for dessert though!!

We haven’t been there since the fire in the kitchen a few years ago. It’s a place my family would often co, it was lovely to finally return.

What a fantastic place, I have driven past a thousand times, but have never stopped. Thursday October 22, I had the good fortune to have been invited to lunch. Our group sat in one of the bars with a beautiful fire place going, a wonderful atmosphere in which to wait for the remainder of our party. It was a busy lunch time, but the friendly, smiling, nothing’s too much trouble wait staff were a delight. The food is outstanding, the steaks were mouth watering, the pie melted in your mouth and the fish cooked to perfection. All dishes were delivered to the table in a timely manner. Next time we visit, we will try the pizzas and sit in the outdoor seating area in the warmer months. A great place to stop, eat, drink and you can spend the night with affordable accommodation. Great work guys.

Sunday afternoon, 5.30 pm. We had booked a table outside but on arrival were met by about 20 small children running around, very hyper and very noisy, whose parents were on the periphery watching them. This was disappointing as we had told our friends, visitors from Sydney, how nice it was to eat outside. It was more like a playground than a restaurant. However, our server made it very easy to change tables and we moved inside. I would have given 5 stars for service except we had to ask for our finished plates to be removed after about 20 minutes of them sitting in front of us. The food arrived quickly and was very nice. Personally, I don’t like the long ratty leaves in the rocket salad as they are difficult to eat. The prawn linguine was very tasty and the prawns cooked perfectly.

We went to a Family Réunion here and were given The Marquee which is located outside behind the bistro. A perfect space for 30 odd adults and children and undercover too! My family ordered the kids chicken tenders and chips which is a good size for small children, the cauliflower and sweet potato salad which was very tasty, as well as a pizza and a steak which were both cooked to perfection. The Grounds are so lovely. There is an enclosed kids play area as well as a giant chess board. Plenty of parking too! The sticky date pudding was amazing!!
