Wish I can give 3.5stars but google doesn’t give me that option. in short, it’s not bad, but for the price you would expect more. Omakase should be serve directly from the Chef’s hands to your plate and the speed should be adjusted according to your customer. In this restaurant, Chef made most of the dishes together all at once and distribute it to the sitting customers and there is a long wait in between, this is really a disappointment. For the Sushi, the acidity of the rice is not there, I question the experience of the sushi chef. For sushi, the rice is just as important as the seafood, if you can’t do the rice correctly it’s just a waste of the seafood. Thats another disappointment.

Wonderful omasake dining experience. The creativity and pairing of flavors that went into the 15 course was very well thought out and excited. Do BE AWARE of the extra high service fee and other surcharges that is added on top of your bill and only mentioned after you have found an availability to reserve and just before you put your card through for reservation…. Considering the other options of high end dining in Sydney and the pricing position they set themselves at, there are better options out there to have a good time at this price tag.

A beautiful and wonderful omakase experience! Chef Hiro is super warm and welcoming and you can tell he is very passionate about his Japanese culture and food. There is no over the top showy performances like other omakase I’ve been at before – it’s genuinely about fresh produce, beautiful taste and a magnificent dining experience. Jake the waiter is also brilliant!

A wonderful dining experience! The food was delicious – flavours delicate and well seasoned. The staff were wonderful especially when our flight was delayed and we could not make our 6.30pm booking/sitting. They allowed us to start later and were able to allow us to catch up on the initial courses we missed. They even catered to my friend who is coeliac. The waiter Jake even managed to convert me a non-sake drinker to enjoying the 2 different types of sake we had with dinner. He truly could read us well and his recommendations were spot on! Thank you Joel, Jake and the rest of the team at Besuto for a wonderful night!

Friday night 8pm seating food was amazing, staff and chefs were very friendly and entertaining, i had one of the best grilled toothfish(?) honestly all food are amazing , went to celebrate anniversary and staff was extremely helpful to setup the surprise
