I bought a regular sized beef pho, it was good sized, not too salty, no msg taste is fresh.

Came here for a work day lunch in the newly opened Barrack Place. There was a healthy queue outside on a Friday which was a good indication that it’s a popular lunch spot. The staff are quite efficient though and food is served quiet easily especially with pho noodle soup where all the soups were ready to be scooped and poured over the noodles and choice of fillings.

Decided to try out Bar Pho 2.0! Firstly it’s hard to find. It’s hidden away to one side of Barrack Place. Not impressed by both the service or quality of the food. No air conditioning for an extremely days and minimal seating available.

Incredibly indulgent, rich, gorgeous pho, and gluten free (inc soy sauce). Hipster fancy pho can be a little delicate but this was just off the charts. And reasonably priced!

To be honest, I gave it no star. the place is buzzing and busy but their Beef Pho is big let down. 18 hours cooking still taste like water. beef is chewie and verity of meat is lacking such as beef balls, tendons like other great Pho shops. with the price the charged you better go else where close by where better Pho are served with less the price and better the taste. Not sure why this place is so busy.

Very disappointed with the beef pho. for $14 i was expecting fresh noodles and not the instant noodles. The soup stock was reasonable but far from impressive.

The lemongrass pho is amazing. Building on an already rich and wholesome beef broth this lemongrass variant takes the flavour somewhere new and amazing. Bar Pho is open for breakfast and lunch, and is ideal for a morning winter warmer. There’s ample seating but it’s best for small groups or couples. Find it tucked in the northern walkway beneath Barrack Place.

I had high hopes as broadsheet reviews spoke highly of this restaurant chain. Unfortunately my expectations weren’t met and quite frankly it was quite disappointing.

Hands down the best Pho is Sydney! I’ve been going to the Bar Pho stand at the Bondi markets for years and am so happy they opened another shop in the CBD meaning I can get a Pho fix outside of just Saturday. The broth is amazing and the special chilli sauce is legendary. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Always fresh and always delicious. Definitely recommend!

Master beef pho tastes bland and mostly like water. Service is ok. On another day i had the coconut chicken banh mi and it was delicious. For a quick lunch ok but wouldn’t buy the pho again.
