Cozy place, good view and amazing staff, the food is a little bit pricy for a small serving, and the taste is not really that extra ordinary for that price.

Feels like I am eating at home. Staff were very friendly. Amazing food! Dinuguan, crispy pata and ube macapuno are must try! And their Bulalo is very comforting for this cold weather.

We spent too much but the food is not good at all. Expectations vs Reality The bulalo is too salty. The kare-kare is good. The inasal taste like I’m eating a rubber chicken. It’s tasteless. The Inihaw not good at all. 2/10.

For a business that is very new, I could not fault the friendliness of the staff, the time delivery service of the dishes ordered and most important of all, the dishes itself! We ordered Crispy Pata, Tokwat baboy, vegetarian kare kare, tusok, ube shake and ube cake. Hands down in flavour and serving sizes for all! Special mention to the Crispy pata as the serving was very generous! A must have!

Went to the soft opening around lunchtime and it was busy. Ordered the Chicken Inasal and Sagot Gulaman for drinks. Both chicken and drink were served immediately. Not long waiting, probably because I asked which dish was ready to be served, and also what were waiting times for the other dishes I wanted. Staff were good in explaining wait times for dishes. The Inasal tasted good – one of the better ones I have tasted around Melbourne. Btw, the soy sauce that came with the Inasal was great too. Gulaman could have been a bit sweeter, but not everyone likes it too sweet. Price wise for the inasal, it’s not the cheapest but not too pricey – though some dishes on the menu was more than I expected. I have to try the more expensive ones to see if the servings are generous and fit for the price. Service was great. Lots of staff to look after the patrons. The atmosphere is what you’d expect on an opening day – lots of buzz, talking, more like a canteen or food court in the Philippines and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, it was a positive experience and I will try the other dishes next time.

As a chef here in melbourne, the soft opening of this restaurant was a success, from service to food, even when it was busy they still kept the high standards, well done!!!

I think this place has a lot of potential. But they need to review some of their prices (example $30 for pancit canton, but pancit palabok $19?!) Also their serving sizes, I had the beef caldareta and it was quite small for the price. It’s not a bad place but needs improvement. It’s also quite crammed in there.

Superb! The food was delicious and the presentation of the food was impeccable. The portion sizes were just right with and reasonable price. If you crave of Filipino food and got no time to cook, just simply go there in Banqueta. Will definitely go back!

Love their Filipino meals especially their grilled meats! Love how they take time to really use charcoal to grill each meal. 🙂 I find their inihaw na liempo and sisig the best! I also appreciate how much effort, love and thought they have put on to make the place feel like you are in the Philippines. For instance, I love the songs being inside, the frames with common Filipino words, the ongoing videos being played on the monitor and even the way they designed their menu. 🙂 more so, I appreciate the hospitality of the staff! Galing din talaga ng chef!
