Now I’m some one who loves to travel for food. Drove 2 hours today to try this place and i will never do it again. Restaurant in neat and tidy. But once i had made my selections i stood at the counter for a good 5 mins and the lady just ignored me behind the counter. Finally someone from the kitchen come to get my order. So not a great first impression. Ordered satay chicken and steamed wontons. They brought me satay chicken, the chicken was soft and moist but the sauce was very thick and dripping in oil . I scraped the sauce off and was able to enjoy the chicken but my wontons arrived deep fried and not steamed. So crunchy I chipped a tooth . Now for mains I ordered pork ribs and Mongolian beef. The pork ribs were delicious and moist falling off the bone good with a delightful sauce on them. Sadly the beef was horrible, chewy and rubbery texture. So bad my chickens were not interested in it when I got home and they eat nearly anything. In the end my experience was 50/50 so not worth the distance or the money.

We ordered Sweet Corn Soup, Traditional Seasoned Vegetables with Cashew Nuts, Szechwan Beef with Vegetables and Plain Rice. They are all delicious, beef and seafood were nice and tender. We didn’t have reservations, but we were accommodated on a table for two. This was Mother’s Day so it was good for them to welcome us as they opened at 5pm Sunday.

We had chicken satay and Vietnamese meatballs for entree plus Mongolian beef and sweet & spicy chicken stir fry for means with small steamed rice and a glass of house white and house red – all for under $100 – delicious!

The absolute best Wonton Soup I’ve had in many many years. We asked the lovely waitress what she recommended, and she told me that the Wonton Soup is her favourite. It was delicious, full of flavour and mouth watering. I could eat it every day. Just superb.

Enjoyed very tasty Mongolian Beef and a couple of glasses of red wine. Asked for it spicy and light sauce and they happily obliged. Next time I am back in Tanunda I will be eating there again.

Absolutely delicious…5 stars is well deserved. The food wasn’t greasy nor did it taste artificial like other Asian/Chinese/Vietnamese take aways. The lemon chicken tasted like actual lemon chicken. The honey chicken tasted like actual honey chicken…need I continue to talk about all the menu items??? Come and try for yourself!!!!!

We had the most fabulous dining experience tonight. We have eaten wonderful meals in both Malaysia and Hong Kong. Tonight’s meal was comparable with anything we have eaten overseas. Truly wonderful food here in Tanunda in a very understated environment.
