Lovely authentic Indian food, good service. Cosy and friendly. Love a hot chicken saag on a chilly winter’s night. The rice pudding and mango kulfi are delicious desserts. Our favourite Indian restaurant in Camden.

[Edit] sad to say we came again on a Wednesday and it was a completely different experience. Food was average and cold. Actually tasted like it was made days prior. We also asked for extra spicy on 3 dishes and all and was barely mild. Might try coming on a weekend if we give this place another go. But disappointed with the inconsistency though.

After a break from Ziafat, decided to go back tonight for some delivery. Very impressed the butter chicken had a lot of chicken in it, I ordered medium which could have been a bit hotter but was still enjoyable. Chicken tikka also was good and the cheese nan very nice. Will be ordering again soon

Ordered chicken biryani from here. It was just rice heated with lot of garam masala. Nothing like a traditional biryani.

Have gone here many time and went here with friends for dinner and went to pay via card. The bill was approx $120. The first time the card was tapped the owner said it didnt go through so I did it again. Upon going to back to my table and checking my internet banking I saw both transactions did go through. I went back to ask for a refund of the second $120 and was told there would be a 2 dollar refund fee for it being refunded into the card so I only got a refund of 118 when the restaurant was at fault. That did not give me a good vibe and felt very wrong and not customer friendly at all. Have been telling everyone about this and warning them away.

Really enjoyed my dinner. Friendly service, enjoyed the food. Had a mango lassi, poppadoms with lots of sides, and butter chicken with rice. The spice level was perfect. The curries were fresh . I would recommend.

Food is tasty. But the wait is often ridiculous. We’ve had food arrive two and a half hours after ordering. They used to be very good at delivery, but not any more. Also, they’ve drastically reduced the amount of meat in their dishes. We spent $100 and the two meat dishes we got were mostly sauce. Very disappointing, and a stark contrast from when we first started ordering food from them four or five years ago. They also forget items quite often. Our garlic naan has been forgotten on several occasions. We might have reached the end of the road with Zaifat. Like many businesses, standards and quality can drop over time. It appears to be happening with Zaifat. It’s a shame, but there are other options. It’s time to broaden our local Indian takeaway horizons.
