A cute little Japanese rest located upstairs in the Orchard Plaza Shopping Centre in Central Cairns, not far from the popular Woolies supermarket. The interior is dated and rather cluttered with all kinds of wall hangings, other decorations and bamboo mats on the ceiling, but the ambience is super casual, relaxed and laid back. Although it’s a popular place we’ve never made a booking, but it’s probably advisable to get here early to make sure that you get a table.

Love the style/aesthetic of this traditional Japanese restaurant. Had a late lunch (1.50pm), quiet time only 1 other customer. I ordered a Beef set and a fresh green salad on the side. (The peanut soy dressing was soo good) Also ordered chicken karaage with rice & miso soup including two entrees. Everything was delicious. Staff and chef were friendly. Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience.
