Wow what an amazing place. Authentic Vietnamese with a twist. And the staff are so friendly. Definitely take advantage of the BYO like we did.

Ordered takeaway; roasted duck fillet rolls & hoisin peanut sauce, slow-cooked pork shoulder thịt kho in pepper caramelised sauce, and rice. Overall the meal was nice.

I really really like xage, super cool and super cool food. All the food is really fresh and has great flavours. The staff are really friendly and they even bring water to the table without asking for it. If you like Vietnamese food and you are in Surry Hills then look no further!

Lovely Vietnamese place. Prices are decent and the location is very nice, just off-the-street. Desert was amazeballs.

The food was lovely and reasonably priced. Our group of 8 ordered extra dishes as were still hungry. They no sooner arrived and we were presented the bill and told there was a booking for our table at 8:30pm so we had to go. It was so rude as the restaurant was less than half full so there was plenty of room. Our table was being cleaned up as we finished our drinks. We finally left at 8:40pm and no one extra turned up. Won’t be rushing back.

Quick and tasty Vietnamese food. All the usual options. Good for a quick, casual bite to eat. The staff are really friendly and the service was good. Grilled prawns are delicious as are the Vietnamese salads. There are a couple of small tables outside and plenty indoors with sliding doors that open right up

Food is okay- mains a lot better than the starters. The rice paper rolls are mainly vercimili noodles with not much else. Pork shoulder was packed full of flavour. Wouldn’t let us split the bill which seems odd for a restaurant that has quite a few groups of friends dining

I would never eat here again. The food was average, however what was most disappointing was the service. We had a party of 4 with only 1 person drinking wine. At the end of the evening they charged the entire table for corkage… we explained that only one person had consumed the wine, however the host just smirked and insisted we all to pay the price. Very unnecessary and upset a whole table for the sake of $10.

Xage offers customers the real Vietnamese feel. The food is unbelievable, it’s fresh and full of flavour. The restaurant itself is pretty tight and noisy and you may be sharing the end of your table with someone else, however, this is what Vietnam is all about. It gives the perfect Vietnamese street food feel and you feel like you could be easily sitting in a little cafe in Saigon. I highly recommend Xage, especially any of their beautiful rice paper rolls (esp duck) or ginger chicken. Service is quick, cheaper than most places around and portions are large.
