We usual have Thai Gong when we visit Wollongong but was busy so thought we’d try something quick a few doors down at Wok in Wok. Service was OK and friendly (served by Jack per the receipt) but unfortunately the food was pretty poor. Clearly have no idea what’s in and how to make a laksa. This thing had broccoli, Carrot shred, and buck choi. The soup tasted like Tom yum with tomato paste and coconut cream… Yuck. Totally not a laksa I’m sorry so a fail and only had 5 slices of chicken and one floret of broccoli. Also ordered the chicken seseme noodles which was overly salted and oily. Got beef dumplings also which were just steamed from packet which are as youd expect. Unfortunately all in all, this was a fail and I couldn’t recommend this place.

Idk if I’m not Asian enough but guy was on his lunch break when I ordered dumpling and didn’t live, as soon as an Asian man walked in he got up and cooked his food straight away before mine though I ordered first. Not really impressed

Absolutely love this place. Food is fresh quality and full of flavour and you can tailor the ingredients you want (or don’t want) included and its cooked in front on you. Good size portions (so don’t be put off by the box sizes as they packed it in) and very reasonably priced. I have recommended to friends and family as our new go to eatery.

Delicious and fresh always! Have been coming to Wok in Wok since they first opened and they have been amazing from day one. They have now also expanded their menu which is great. If you want fresh and flavoursome noodles definitely give this place a go. Beats any noodle place in the Illawarra.
