Ordered the ‘special’ whiting and veg only. The crumbed whiting was delicious. The vegetables were inedible. Cold and uncooked. I asked the waiter to please check the temp, touch them because I can’t eat them. He said yes they’re cold. I asked if he could arrange some hot veg and he headed toward the kitchen, returning promptly to inform me that the kitchen was closed. I asked really, before 8:20 with a packed pub for State of Origin. He said yes, shrugging his shoulders and walked off. Very very disappointing indeed.

Staff were friendly and the venue was nice however had a couple of small issues. Ordered through the table beacon and both times times we had to go to the bar and ask for drinks. Schnitzels all came out with gravy on top despite having requested on the side. Even the parmy came out with pepper sauce on top. Overall just ok

My accommodation didn’t provide meals so a short walk found me here for dinner. Well lit and tidy interior, dining area well separated from the noise from the bar. Chose chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce. Service was prompt, staff pleasant. Schnitzel was quite large and tasted delicious, not dry, cooked perfectly. This and a coke around $30 so well priced. Can recommend.

We ate here in early march 2022. The service was good and the staff really nice. The food was nice for the most part as well. We enjoyed the crumbed Camembert entree, Garlic Prawns and steak sandwich meals. The only issue we found was the dressing on the salad had a real tang to it which was hard on the palette and left a mild undesirable after taste. Whilst it was okay to an extent by itself with the Camembert, it certainly didn’t belong with the garlic prawns in any way. If I had known the same salad with dressing was going to be included with the garlic prawns I would have asked for no dressing, the flavours did not mix or compliment each other in any way. I feel the garlic prawns were a little overpriced as well, though there were about 8-10 prawns which was a good amount for the meal and the garlic sauce was lovely.

Fantastic place to have a meal and drink. The staff were great and the meals came out in a timely manner even though they were very busy. Lost of options for vegans and vegetarians and the gluten intolerant. The servings were very generous and we certainly didn’t leave hungry. It is located very close to where we were staying so we could have a few drinks and walk back to our accommodation. Well done Western Hotel, we will be back.

Welcoming attitude on arrival, from staff. A very busy dinning room for a Wednesday night. Very attractive dinning room with comfortable seating, & plenty of room between tables. Broad range of food & wine offering from menu at extremely low prices for the quality & amount of food delivered to table.& the food was delicious! Garlic prawn sauce was amazing with plenty of prawns. Hamburger patty was smokey in flavour & well seasoned. Wheelchair & family friendly & staff attentive. A really great meal. Will stop here again when passing through to the far West Coast.

Surprisingly busy for a Wed night. Clean and modern. Great selection of meals and drinks at reasonable prices. I had roast of the day which came with heaps of perfectly cooked vege’s and the other half had a full rack of ribs with chips and slaw and said it was nice and tender with plenty of meat.
