Really enjoyed my time here, loved the ambiance. The food was great, but I wouldn’t say it’s authentic Japanese food? but the karaage was freshly fried and seasoned, worth a try! 🙂

This is a nice little restaurant. The kitchen appears small but they offer a wide variety of Japanese-inspired dishes. The sashimi was pretty standard, but really enjoyed their signature rolls (Mad-Mex and Dynamite).

Washoku is a top-notch dining experience, without breaking the bank. The salmon taco’s are to die for, as well as just about any sushi dish.

Great Japanese place with a decent range of items as can be seen by the pictures. Great sashimi, fresh fish and extremely well cooked tempura. It is also BYOB – when combined with the local bottleo this is a great combination. The overall impression is extremely favourable with some outdoor seating areas as well as good indoor seats which are a bit darker during day time.

I wouldn’t come here for a relaxing meal. A nice restaurant, very tasty food, good portions, attentive staff. However, they didn’t inform us the sitting was 90 minutes when we booked & the staff kindly pressured us to hurry up & order, hurry up & eat & hurry up & pay. We didn’t like that pressure. Washoku vaucluse is byo but they don’t give you an ice bucket for your beverages.

We had 3 of the various Poke bowls and they were all fresh and delicious. Large menu with heaps of choices. This is a very popular place and the food is consistently Yum.

Really enjoyed the exquisite share plates offered at this little Japanese Restaurant in Vaucluse. The serves are smallish but reasonably priced with the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes then order more of any you really like. The whitebait and eggplant were my favourite dishes but the seaweed salad and sashimi were also delicious!

Taste: The food was good. Excellent. Service: Not good at all. Polite enough, but just uncaring. Take away: Some of the prices on their website should be updated to avoid cashier surprise when paying. Value: Some of the items are ok e.g. starters. The meals are slightly over-priced, but nice and given the location, justified. But the ‘signature’ sushi rolls. $20? A little too much. Have had better for less.
