Wow what a gem of a cafe! I could not fault the food at all! While I was eating my yummy vegan burger I couldn’t help but watch what was coming out of the kitchen – everything looked delicious and plenty of it! Take the scenic route through Maudsland, Mount Nathan with turn offs to Binna Burra!

Went to the view for lunch, lovely staff, kindly welcomed us very close to closing time and waited on us well all afternoon, even letting us stay after closing. Food was pretty good, lamb burger lunch special was delicious and affordable. We got the steak sandwich with no egg (personal preference). It was quite good, however in future we would remove the cheese as we didn’t love the American style cheese (also personal preference). As the name suggests, splendid view, all in all wonderful afternoon.

This is a nice cafe at Hinz Dam with a great view. Staff were friendly and there was even live music. We only made a quick stop for a smoothie which was really tasty and refreshing. It’s quite a busy place but there is a lot of seating inside and outside and lots of parking. Even a few dedicated motorbike parking spots. While we didn’t do any walks today, there are some nice walks around the area and you can walk across the dam wall.

Great cafe and an even more amazing location! I’ve been here probably half a dozen times now and it just gets better and better. The first time I visited I had the chicken sandwich which was fine and kind of expected that it was just a mediocre cafe in a great spot. I was wrong. The calamari salad, the sausage roll, and the pesto chicken sandwich are all phenomenal. Finally made it in time for breakfast this weekend and the bacon and egg roll was seriously one of the best I’ve ever had. Also stole a bite of my husband’s pancakes which were delicious. Consistently good coffee. Excellent selection of pastries, treats, ice cream & drinks. Staff are lovely and even on the weekends when the place is packed, the food is delivered very quickly! Major hidden gem of the Gold Coast. Don’t miss it.
